Marnie is a lifelong hiker, climber, and self-taught naturalist who spent years filling notebooks with trail sketches, weather observations, and lessons learned the hard way. She noticed that most outdoor media either sells gear or celebrates summits, and few explain why things work: how snow behaves, how weather builds, how to read a map, how to make a better decision. She wants a magazine that teaches.

"A magazine for people who want to understand the outdoors, not just visit it.”
